Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MA), Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)

Simren understands that each individual comes from a unique background, shaped by personal experiences and diverse worldviews that influence who they are today. As a counsellor, she offers a therapeutic process where she supports clients through their challenges and helps them explore new ways of thinking, feeling, and being.
She believes that everyone deserves a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space—a space where vulnerability is not only welcomed but encouraged. Simren creates an environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to express their thoughts and emotions freely.
To Simren, life is like a road trip—sometimes smooth and scenic, other times filled with unexpected detours. In this journey, the client is in the driver’s seat, and Simren is the supportive passenger beside them. She helps map out goals, navigate roadblocks, and discover new, meaningful routes forward. Along the way, she encourages moments of reflection, adjustment, and growth, always aligning with the client’s values, morals, and beliefs.
Her goal is to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of their emotions and behaviors, break free from limiting patterns, and develop practical tools for lasting positive change. Throughout the therapeutic journey, Simren remains a steady presence—offering support, adapting her approach when needed, and empowering clients to build resilience and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
With compassion and clarity, Simren invites her clients to embark on this meaningful adventure—navigating the twists and turns of life and working toward a destination that feels positive, empowering, and deeply personal.
A bit about Simren
As a South Asian woman, Simren brings a unique perspective to the therapeutic space, offering valuable insights into fostering cultural inclusivity. Growing up in a multicultural society has given her the ability to appreciate the importance of cultural values and beliefs, while also recognizing the internal conflicts they can sometimes create for individuals. Her lived experience enriches her work, allowing her to create a safe, understanding, and compassionate environment for her clients.
Simren has ten years of experience as a Behaviour Interventionist, working with children, youth, and adults with disabilities such as Autism, ADHD, OCD, and Down Syndrome. Through this work, she has developed a deep understanding of the importance of consistent support, promoting positive behavior, and enhancing communication skills to empower individuals and families.
Outside of her professional life, Simren loves to travel, discover new restaurants, and spend quality time with her family and friends.
