Life is a journey, filled with moments of wonder, calm waters, and opportunities to pause and take it all in. It can also include unexpected turns, unfamiliar paths, and steep stretches that feel hard to navigate alone. During these more difficult times, having a supportive person can make all the difference.
Sarah believes that each person already carries the strengths and abilities needed to move through life’s challenges. Sometimes, those strengths simply need space, care, and the right support to be uncovered. As a counsellor, Sarah walks alongside people of all ages as they deepen their understanding of themselves—their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours—so they can build self-compassion, strengthen relationships, and move toward the life they want to live.
Sarah’s therapeutic approach is grounded in relational, person-centred, and strength-based perspectives, with a strong belief in every individual’s capacity for growth and learning at every stage of life. With over 15 years of experience in child and youth care, Sarah has worked closely with children, youth, and families, including those with neurodiversities such as Autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, anxiety, and developmental trauma. She also works with adults – from mid-life to elderly – supporting life transitions, anxiety, changing family roles, and adult child relationships using a trauma-focused lens that honours safety, dignity, and healing at each person’s own pace. Sarah’s breadth of experience offers a thoughtful understanding of the many systems and relationships that shape us over time.
Sarah takes a holistic approach to counselling, honouring each person’s unique experiences, identities, intersectionalities, and worldview. Clients are encouraged to bring their whole selves into the space, knowing that their stories, emotions, and challenges are valid and welcome.
No experience or feeling is too big or too much. You are invited to come just as you are—together, with Sarah, you will take the next step forward.
A Bit About Sarah
