Katie Ludvig

Katie comes to Branches with a background as a high-performance athlete, having competed nationally in tennis throughout her youth and playing volleyball for five years at the university level before moving overseas to compete professionally. Through this journey, she developed a deep appreciation for the strength found in vulnerability and the way life’s challenges can become powerful opportunities for growth. She believes we all carry the tools we need to navigate our unique paths, and her role is to walk alongside you with curiosity as you explore your own story. Katie’s person-centred approach invites clients to show up exactly as they are, creating a safe and compassionate space where authenticity and self-discovery can thrive.

Drawing from her lived experience as an athlete, Katie offers a unique understanding of the mental and emotional demands that come with sport. She sees the difficult emotions athletes face, not as signs of weakness, but as reflections of strength, commitment, and passion. In her work with athletes, Katie integrates resilience-building, goal-setting, self-compassion, and mindset skills to help clients navigate setbacks, maintain motivation, and align performance with personal well-being. She believes a healthy mind is just as important as a healthy body in achieving athletic success and personal fulfillment and works collaboratively to support clients in defining what a balanced, healthy lifestyle looks like for them.

A Bit About Katie

In her free time, Katie cherishes every moment she gets to spend with her family. An ocean lover at heart, she enjoys soaking up the sun and taking her dog, Charlie, for walks along the beach. She finds inspiration in reading about spirituality, balanced with the occasional romance novel. For the past seven years, journaling has been her way of reflecting and making sense of life’s moments. Katie loves to travel and hopes to continue exploring new corners of the world. She still enjoys playing tennis and volleyball for fun and values staying active, believing that movement is an important part of her own well-being.
