B.Ed., Masters of Counselling Psychology, RCC, Meditation Facilitator

Being a human is sometimes hard. Difficulty inevitably shows up for all of us, and sometimes we need a little help along the way. I support you around the hard stuff: relationships, grief and loss, stress and burnout, trauma, spirituality, emotional pain, uncertainty, and life changes in life including perimenopause, empty nest, and retirement.

I believe that every person deserves to enjoy life fully. I provide a warm and caring trauma-informed presence to help you feel safe and comfortable as we work together to reach your goals.

While I draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities in my practice, my therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in the person-centred and humanistic perspectives, which means I strive to provide a compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can be your true self.

I work from a strong foundation in mindfulness practices. As a trained meditation facilitator, I believe that the answers we are looking for can be found through finding quiet in our lives. Whatever your challenge, I can help you navigate your thoughts, feelings, and emotions and find peace.

You deserve to feel good. Reaching out is the biggest step. Let’s have tea and talk!

A bit about me!

I love to ski with my family, take walks with my husband, and read a good book with a cup of tea while cuddling up with my dog! In addition to my husband, I am grateful for my adult son and daughter, and my beautiful sisters, all of whom are my biggest supporters. When I am not sitting with you, I’ll likely be found with any of them!

I have a passion for helping individuals gain insight, skills and resilience to move towards a life that is more fulfilling and meaningful. With 26 years of experience working in education, and 10 years of specialised experience supporting youth and their families with neuro-diversities such as ADHD, Autism, Pathological Demand Avoidance and Oppositional Defiant Disorder, I am well equipped to provide powerful guidance. I understand the struggles that come with anxiety and burnout, as I have personally experienced them too. As a teacher, I experienced burnout, impacting my life significantly. Through my own therapy, I have developed the ability to design new ways of thinking and being. I have incorporated mindfulness into my life to enrich my experiences. As a trained meditation facilitator, I empower clients to become more mindful of their present experiences in body and mind, as a way to manoeuvre through difficult emotions. I offer a 6-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course that helps individuals gain insight, skills and resilience to live a life that is more meaningful and fulfilling and love to incorporate mindfulness and meditation into our work.

“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.”
