Marie is a practicum counseling student with experience supporting adults and elderly.
As a retired police officer, veteran, and mother, Marie brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to her role as a student-counselor. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy and respect, ensuring that each person feels heard and understood. She believes in meeting clients where they are and moving at their pace, working alongside them. Marie’s philosophy is that a healthy body and mind are interconnected, and she supports a holistic approach to therapy.
She understands that everyone needs someone to listen to them at some point in their lives, especially when facing challenges, setbacks, and obstacles. Her objective is to be that supportive guide, providing the extra help needed to feel better and be at your best.
She aims to tailor each counseling session to your needs and specific goals. As a dedicated professional, she is committed to helping you navigate your journey. She provides the tools and skills necessary to guide you toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
She also provides services in French, as she is fluent in the language. Elle offre aussi les mêmes services en Français, car elle est bilingue Français et anglais.
In her free time, Marie enjoys hiking, alpine skiing, snowshoeing, paddle boarding, and indulging in Quebec’s specialty maple syrup cookies. She has a 13-year-old son, and a little Yorkie named Lucy. Lucy is very welcoming and loves everyone; she is available to join sessions if desired.
