Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MA), Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
I appreciate that each one of us comes from different backgrounds, experiences, and worldviews that contribute to who we are today. Counselling consists of a therapeutic process, where I will guide you through the challenges you are facing and help you explore new ways of thinking and being. I believe that everyone should have a safe, supportive, and non judgemental space to express their feelings and thoughts, where vulnerability is welcomed and encouraged.
I am here to guide you on your journey, called life. Life can be an unpredictable drive, filled with scenic routes and unexpected detours. Together, we’ll explore your path, navigating challenges and celebrating milestones along the way.
My goal is to help you understand your emotions and behaviors more deeply, break free from limiting patterns, and develop the tools you need to create lasting positive change. Throughout our work, I will be here to support you, adjust our approach as needed, empower you to build resilience, and make meaningful progress toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
Imagine your life as a road trip. You are the driver, and sometimes you encounter smooth highways, and other times you face bumpy backroads. I am your passenger, providing you with support and company while helping you map out your goals, identify roadblocks, and discover new routes to reach your destination. We’ll take the time to stop, reflect, and adjust our course as needed in a manner that is consistent with your values, morals, and beliefs.
Let’s embark on this adventure together, navigating the twists and turns of life while working toward a fulfilling, positive, and meaningful destination.
A bit about me!
As a South Asian woman, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic space and offer valuable insights into fostering cultural inclusivity. My lived experience and growing up in a multicultural society has given me a unique ability to see cultures from a different viewpoint; both the importance of values and beliefs that come from our cultures, whilst also recognizing the internal conflicts they can cause us as individuals.
I have ten years of experience as a Behaviour Interventionist working with children, youth, and adults, with disabilities, such as Autism, ADHD, OCD, and Down Syndrome, that has taught me the importance of consistent support, promoting positive behavior, and enhancing communication skills.
Outside of the therapeutic space, I love to travel, find new restaurants, and spend time with family and friends.
