Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MA), Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)

I welcome you to come exactly as you are, right now. If you are hurt, traumatized, grieving, or living in a way that feels wrong, I am here and I accept you. If it is hard to articulate what you’re going through, that is okay – we will get there together. If your problem feels trivial – I am not here to minimize your struggles. What you are experiencing is important.

I believe that my role as counsellor is to support you in knowing yourself in a deeper way so that you can build stronger relationships with yourself and others and live a life that feels true to who you are. My therapeutic approach is deeply person-centered, which means that I believe in your inherent worth and ability to access your inner knowing which leads to natural growth and change. I am here to support you in this process.

Therapy with me looks like a warm and supportive conversation where who you are and what you need as a person is the main focus. I can help you to identify your core needs and values, access your emotional depth through experiential focusing, aka “felt-sensing”, and get in touch with your “conditions of worth” (i.e. understanding the implicit factors that impact how you think about yourself and what makes you believe you are worthy of love).

I am currently accepting daytime, virtual clients.

A bit about me!

I am a virtual practitioner with Branches, living in beautiful Maple Ridge, BC. My work, my family and connection with nature are my greatest passions. When I am not busy parenting my 4 children who range in age from 7 to 15, or tending to my adorable pets and farm animals, you’ll find me wandering in the forest by myself or with my friends, foraging for mushrooms, plunging into hidden pools and lakes, or taking in the beautiful views.

As a child and adolescent I experienced poverty, divorce, and chronic relational and environmental trauma. My life has been an ongoing process of healing, growth and recovery. Now, in my early 40s, I find hope and meaning in creating connection with myself and others and feel deep satisfaction in helping others to find meaning and connection in their own lives.

Am I living in a way which is deeply satisfying to me, and which truly expresses me?
